Why Haven’t my CPD Hours Updated?
CPD hours for LIA events and CPD-accredited content are usually added to your MyCPD record automatically, typically within 48 hours of the event or course completion.
If your CPD hours have not appeared, it may be due to processing time, attendance verification, accreditation requirements, or an incorrect event code.
When will my CPD hours be updated for an LIA event?
CPD hours for LIA-accredited events are normally updated automatically after the event.
In most cases:
- CPD hours appear within 48 hours
- The update is automatically applied to your MyCPD record
However, processing times may vary slightly depending on attendance verification and system updates.
Why haven't my CPD hours appeared after attending an LIA event?
If your CPD hours have not appeared yet, there may be several possible reasons.
Processing Time
CPD hours are usually recorded within 48 hours of the event. If it has been less than this, the update may still be processing.
Attendance Verification
To receive CPD hours, you must attend the full duration of the event.
If you:
- left the session early
- logged out before the event finished
- were not correctly signed in
your attendance may not have been recorded.
Event Accreditation
Not all learning events are accredited for CPD.
Some events may provide useful learning but do not qualify for CPD hours.
Delay in my CPD Log Updates
Occasionally, your hours may already be recorded but not yet visible in your CPD log.
Try logging in again later or refreshing your CPD record.
I completed content on LIA Elevate but did not receive CPD hours
Not all content on LIA Elevate awards CPD hours.
LIA Elevate provides a range of personal and professional development courses, but only CPD-accredited content counts toward your CPD requirement.
Possible reasons include:
The course is not CPD-accredited
Some courses focus on topics such as:
- leadership
- communication
- personal development
These may not qualify for CPD hours.
The course is not relevant to your designation
Even if a course is CPD-accredited, it must be relevant to your specific designation or product categories to count toward your CPD requirement.
Completion requirements were not met
Many CPD courses require you to:
- complete all sections
- pass the assessment or quiz
If these steps are not completed, CPD hours will not be awarded.
The course has not been accredited yet
For a course to award CPD hours, it must be reviewed and approved by LIA’s CPD team.
If a course has not yet gone through this process, it will not generate CPD hours.
I entered an event code but my CPD hours did not update
If you entered an event accreditation code and your CPD hours did not update, check the following.
Incorrect Event Code
Ensure the event code was entered exactly as provided, including all letters, numbers, and symbols.
Even a small typo may prevent the system from recognising the code.
Event Not Yet Processed
There may occasionally be a delay before the event appears in your CPD record.
Manual Entry Required
If the event was not hosted directly by LIA, such as:
- employer training sessions
- external events
you may need to manually log the event in your CPD record.
When logging manually, include:
- the correct event code
- number of CPD hours
- CPD category
- date of completion
Event Code Not Valid for the Current CPD Year
Event codes must be valid for the current CPD year.
Codes from previous CPD years will not be accepted.
Technical Issue
Occasionally, there may be a temporary technical issue with the CPD system.
If you have checked all of the above and your CPD hours still have not appeared, please contact LIA Member Services.
What should I do if my CPD hours are still missing?
If your CPD hours have not appeared after 10 working days, you should contact LIA Member Services.

✅ Confirm the event code was entered correctly
