I have attended an LIA event and my hours have not been updated to reflect that. Why is that?
Answer
If your CPD hours have not been updated after attending an LIA event, here are some possible reasons:
- Processing Time
- LIA usually updates CPD hours within 48 hours after the event. If it has been less than this, your hours may still be in the process of being recorded.
- Attendance Verification
- Ensure that you attended the full duration of the event. Partial attendance or logging out early may result in hours not being awarded.
- Event Accreditation
- Confirm that the event was LIA-accredited for CPD. Some events may provide valuable learning but might not count towards CPD hours.
- MyCPD Log Update Delay
- Sometimes, even if hours have been recorded, they may not appear immediately in your MyCPD account. Try logging in again later or refreshing your CPD records.
- Technical Issues or Errors
- For live events ensure that you were correctly signed in with your registered email and member number so that your attendance can be logged correctly.
- Manual Submission Requirement
- For some events, CPD hours may not be recorded automatically. You may need to submit proof of attendance, such as an email confirmation or certificate.
