I logged a CPD code, but it hasn't recorded the hours- what do I do?
Answer
If you have logged a CPD code but the hours have not been recorded, follow these steps:
- Double-check the Code – Ensure that you entered the correct CPD Accreditation Code, as errors in input can prevent the system from recognising it. If you have attended an event which has an LIA accreditation number (e.g. LIAXXXXX_202X) it has been successfully approved by LIA for CPD and you can log these hours on your CPD record.
- Check Your CPD Log – Review your CPD record in the LIA online member area to see if the hours have been registered.
- If an * is displayed beside a code, on the below table, this indicates that the CPD event is not relevant to your designation. As a result, this event will not count towards your CPD requirement.
- If the event you have attended has been approved by IOB or The Insurance Institute, please email the relevant accreditation code to cpd@lia.ie and we will confirm LIA’s equivalent code which you can then add to your CPD record. The IOB or III codes will not log on the LIA system.
- If you do not have an accreditation number, please contact the event organiser/speaker who may seek CPD approval from LIA.
Contact LIA Member Services – If the issue persists, email cpd@lia.ie or call (+353)-01-4563890 for assistance.
Provide details such as the CPD code, event name, date, and proof of attendance, if available
