I'm a member and unable to register for an event, why is that?

Answer

If you are a member and unable to register for an event, there could be several reasons for this issue:

  1. Membership Status – Ensure that your LIA membership is active and not expired. If your membership has lapsed, you may need to renew it before registering.
  2. Event Eligibility – Some events may have specific eligibility requirements, such as being relevant only to certain designations (e.g., QFA, APA, CUA). Check if the event is open to your designation category.
  3. Capacity Issues – If an event has reached full capacity, registration may no longer be available.
  4. Technical Issues – There may be a temporary issue with the LIA website or registration system. Try refreshing the page, using a different browser, or clearing your cache and cookies.
  5. CPD Compliance – If the event is a CPD-related event, ensure that you have met all CPD compliance requirements, such as submitting your annual CPD return.
  6. Payment Issues – Some events require a registration fee. Ensure that payment (if applicable) has been processed successfully.

If the issue persists, you should contact LIA’s Member Services for assistance via email at events@lia.ie or call them at +353-01-4563890.
