I've input an event code, but my CPD log hasn't updated, why is this?
Answer:
If you've input an event code but your CPD log hasn’t updated, there may be a few possible reasons:
Incorrect Event Code
Double-check that the event code was entered accurately, including any letters, numbers, or symbols. A small typo may prevent the system from recognising the event.
Event Not Yet Processed
Sometimes there may be a delay in system updates. While most LIA-accredited events are recorded automatically, especially those completed via MyCPD, there can occasionally be a short wait before they appear on your log.
Manual Entry Required
If the event was not hosted directly by LIA (e.g., an external event or one organised by your employer), it may not update automatically. In such cases, you need to manually log the event in your CPD record via the LIA online portal. Make sure to include:
- The correct event code
- Number of CPD hours
- Relevant categories
- Date of completion
Event Not Yet Accredited or Expired
If the event code is from a past CPD year or from an event not accredited for the current year, the system will not accept it. Event codes must be valid for the current CPD year.
Technical GlitchOccasionally, there could be a technical issue with the portal. If you've confirmed all the above and your log still hasn't updated, it’s best to contact LIA’s CPD support team for clarification.
