Questions you may have

Why are we receiving two invoices?

2027 is the bridging year between members renewing on their individual anniversary dates and everyone moving to a 1 January renewal date. Most organisations therefore receive one invoice on 1 December 2026 and another on 1 June 2027. Together, they cover the employees you approve through to 31 December 2027.

Why might the amount for an employee be more/less than a normal annual membership fee?

Each employee is charged for the period from their current renewal date to 31 December 2027. Their transitional charge is therefore pro-rated rather than automatically being a full annual membership fee.

Can I change an approval after 30 November?

You cannot undo an approval made for the period through to 31 December 2027. Your organisation remains responsible for that membership even if the employee subsequently leaves. You can, however, approve a new employee during the year.

What happens if we don't want to pay for someone who still works here?

Select Not approved. Do not select Remove. They will remain linked to your organisation, but your organisation will not pay their membership and LIA will contact them about paying individually.

What should I do if someone listed no longer works for us?

Select Remove during your review. This disconnects them from your organisation's record so they will not appear on your list in future years.

Can I download our employee list?

Yes. You can export each of the three stages to CSV. Each export covers only the stage you are viewing, so export all three if you need a complete list.

Do we pay our invoice through the portal?

No. Company invoices continue to be paid by bank transfer.
